Scientists discovered 8000 years old clay jar (Qvevri in Georgian) in 50 km distance south from Tbilisi. But it is not everything. Grape seeds and wine acid was inside the jar. So the "qvevri" was used for wine.

Let me remind, this period matches to Neolithic Revolution - first agricultural revolution. Humans domesticated plants and animals. The oldest remains of wine and wine-making technology are found in Georgia and dated as 8000 years old. So it means first wine was produced in Georgia.
